About

Julie & Robert are two partners-in-adventure who currently live in Morocco.

Yours Truly, Robert & Julie follows the chronicles of a young Seattle couple navigating the land of spice and blazing sky: Morocco. Come with us as we meander through color-bursting markets of ancient medinas. As we sip the seventh glass of mint tea in the warmth of a family’s salon. As we learn and laugh with our students at the city youth center. Sometimes we’ll stumble—but the view will always be stunning.

Robert is a research scientist in the field of biology, an Alaskan Native of the Tlingit tribe, and a Certified Nursing Assistant with med school dreams. Julie is an aspiring teacher certified in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, a sometime poet, and a social justice journalist. She is proudly Taiwanese American. They are both: perpetual students, global citizens, huge nerds, intersectional social activists, and Seattleites at heart.

Julie and Robert are Americans invited by the Moroccan Ministry of Youth and Sport to work in a small city in Morocco under the Youth Development Sector. They teach, learn, collaborate, and co-manage programs at a Dar Chebab (Youth Center). Follow their story to learn more about where they live, what they do, and how they are.
